Global Regulatory Press, the publisher of the Journal of Medical Device Regulation, is committed to safeguarding your data. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to explain how we (Global Regulatory Press) collect and use your information.

The personal information we collect is used to provide you with the service or subscription that you have requested, or to respond to an enquiry that you have made. We do use certain third-party service providers to assist us in providing these services to you, such as for processing payments and email marketing. Details are provided below.

Email lists

We operate a number of different email lists: (i) previews of each new issue, (ii) headlines from each new issue on the day of publication, (iii) special offers, (iv) details of new Bookstore publications and (v) advertising options. You must actively sign up to one or more of the email lists via our website before you will receive emails from us. Your name and email address are stored by a third-party email marketing service: MailChimp. You may sign up to new lists, opt out of specific lists, or completely unsubscribe at any time by emailing marija@globalregulatorypress.com. Alternatively, every email we send out contains links in the footer for updating your preferences and unsubscribing.

Sample downloads

When you request a free sample of the Journal of Medical Device Regulation via our website, you are asked to complete a short form first. This personal information is used for internal monitoring purposes only. We will not contact you unless you specifically ask us to.

Bookstore and other article purchases

If you make a Bookstore or other article purchase, we will collect personal information from you such as your name, company, mailing address, and email address. We only collect this information so that we can process your order effectively and meet our statutory financial recordkeeping obligations. Payment information (e.g. credit card/debit card number) is processed via one of our third-party payment providers: PayPal or SagePay. We do not store any payment information ourselves. You will receive emails from us in relation to the processing and fulfilment of your order, even if you have opted out of receiving other emails from us.

Subscriptions

If you purchase a subscription to the Journal of Medical Device Regulation, we will collect personal information from you such as your name, company, mailing address, and email address. We only collect and retain this information so that we can process and manage your subscription effectively and meet our statutory financial recordkeeping obligations. Payment information (e.g. credit card/debit card number) is processed via one of our third-party payment providers: PayPal or SagePay. We do not store any payment information ourselves. You will receive emails from us in relation to the management of your subscription for the duration of that subscription, even if you have opted out of receiving other emails from us.

Third-party access to your data

As mentioned above, we do use certain third-party service providers to assist us in providing our services to you, such as for processing payments and email marketing. However, we will not sell, rent, loan or disclose any of your personal information to any other third parties unless required to do so by law.

Google Analytics

Like many other websites, we make use of Google Analytics. The information collected may include internet protocol (IP) address, type of browser, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks. This information is not personally identifiable and is only used to analyse trends, administer the site, track users’ movements around the site, and gather demographic information. If you wish to opt out of providing Google Analytics with information, you may do so using the link at the bottom of any webpage on this site.

Security

We use a number of technologies and procedures to protect the data you submit to us, such as firewalls and password protection. Whilst we use all reasonable measures to safeguard your data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data or its transmission. We do not retain any of your personal information longer than necessary to fulfil our statutory obligations.

Updates to our Privacy Policy

We may need to revise our Privacy Policy from time to time, and will do so by updating the version posted on our website. This Privacy Policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms & Conditions. Our Privacy Policy was last updated in July 2020. It was last reviewed in November 2022 but no changes were considered necessary.
